Dr. Clements received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1994.  He completed the Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.  He has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  He has practiced in Asheville since 1999, and founded Beacon Healthcare Associates in 2003.

Dr. Clements has a special interest in diagnosing and treating diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and other chronic illnesses. 

Dr. Clements is married to Evan Richardson, who is the Practice Manager.  He has two children, Wesley, born in 1995, and Lila, born in 2001.  He lives in the Westwood Cohousing Community.  He is active in the Asheville Friends Meeting (Quakers).
