Beacon Healthcare Associates is proud to announce its participation in Improving Performance in Practice (IPIP).  IPIP is a Quality Improvement program funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and jointly sponsored by the American Board of Medical Specialties, American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Physicians, and American Academy of Pediatrics.  The focus of this program is on redesigning our practice to develop an efficient and effective team approach to whole patient care, including acute, chronic and preventive care.  We began our work with IPIP in October, 2006 by developing a system for diabetes care and plan to spread the tools we have learned and created to all areas of our practice in time.  Since 2006 we have seen a progressive improvement in the care we provide all of our patients with diabetes and currently meet or exceed national standards on most of the quality measures identified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), such as HgbA1C, Lipid and LDL levels, Blood Pressure readings, and appropriate screening tests.
